Suposto profeta (ao centro de camiseta listrada) diz que o mundo vai acabar hoje e angariou seguidores que estão confinados em uma casa de Teresina; as crianças e adolescentes saíram da escola e os adultos
O mundo vai acabar às 16h desta sexta-feira (12). É isso que cerca de 120 pessoas em Teresina esperam que ocorra em pleno Dia das Crianças. Elas já se preparam o “juízo final” confinadas na casa de um suposto profeta.
Segundo o cearense Luiz Pereira, 43, radicado na capital piauiense, “a besta fera” vem acabar com o mundo nesta sexta-feira e só vão se “salvar os seguidores dele.”
O caso está sendo monitorado pela polícia, que informou que vai indiciar o “profeta” ao MP (Ministério Público Estadual), que poderá ingressar com uma ação pedindo providências à Justiça.
Segundo a polícia, há 25 dias que a casa do suposto profeta está abrigando crianças, adolescentes, adultos e idosos.
O suposto profeta afirmou que recebeu uma mensagem de um anjo que desceu à terra para avisar que o mundo irá acabar nesta sexta-feira e que as pessoas devem seguir os “ensinamentos” de Luiz Pereira para poder se salvarem.
“Elas são induzidas a largarem totalmente suas vidas. Não podem assistir televisão, sair da casa e ter contato com o mundo. O mais perigoso é que as crianças e adolescentes também foram proibidas de frequentar a escola”, disse o chefe da DPCA (Delegacia de Proteção à Criança e ao Adolescente) Joattan Gonçalves.
Segundo Gonçalves, a DPCA está finalizando o inquérito e vai indiciar o suposto profeta por abandono intelectual. “A Justiça pode ainda condenar o homem por outros crimes, se julgar que ele os cometeu”, completou.
Além de ficarem sem contato com o mundo fora da casa do suposto profeta, os seguidores são induzidos a renunciar e doar os bens que têm, além de largar os empregos. A polícia disse que recebeu denúncias de que o suposto profeta também está casando alguns menores de idade que seguem seus ensinamentos.
As pessoas que estão na casa vivem o tempo todo fazendo orações com Pereira e se alimentam de doações que chegam à casa do suposto profeta.
Cerca de 100 homens da polícia Militar e Civil participaram, no fim da tarde desta quinta-feira (11), de uma operação para retirar 19 crianças e adolescentes que estavam morando na casa de Luiz Pereira. Durante a operação, a polícia encontrou veneno escondido em um dos cômodos da casa e o suposto profeta foi conduzido a DPCA para prestar esclarecimentos.
O resgate das crianças e adolescentes da casa de Pereira foi determinado pela juíza da 1ª Vara da Infância e da Adolescência, Maria Luiza de Moura, que acatou o pedido da DPCA solicitando medidas de proteção aos menores. “Já identificamos todas as crianças e adolescentes e o Conselho Tutelar está encaminhando-as para o Lar da Criança”, informou Joattan Gonçalves.
A reportagem do UOL tentou o contato do suposto profeta ou de algum integrante do grupo, mas não conseguiu. A polícia investiga também se Luís Pereira da Silva está envolvido em outros crimes denunciados por moradores de Teresina.

According to the Ceará Luiz Pereira, 43, who lives in the capital of Piauí, "the wild beast" is to end the world on Friday and will only "save his followers."

Police said 25 days ago that the home of the prophet is supposed sheltering children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
The supposed prophet said he received a message from an angel come down to earth to warn that the world will end on Friday and that people should follow the "teachings" of Luiz Pereira order to save themselves.
"They are induced to fully largarem their lives. They can not watch TV, go out of the house and have contact with the world. The most dangerous is that children and adolescents were also forbidden to attend school, "said the head of CAPD (Precinct Protection of Children and Adolescents) Joattan Gonçalves.
According to Gonçalves, the DPCA is completing its investigation and will prosecute the supposed prophet by intellectual abandonment. "The court can also order the man for other crimes, if the judge he committed," he added.
Besides being out of touch with the world outside the home of the supposed prophet, followers are induced to resign and donate the goods they have, and quit their jobs. Police said they received reports that the alleged prophet also is marrying some minors who follow his teachings.
People who are living in the house all the time doing prayers with Pereira and feed donations that come to the house of the alleged prophet.
About 100 police men attended military and civil, in the late afternoon of Thursday (11), an operation to remove 19 children and adolescents who were living in the home of Luiz Pereira. During the operation, police found poison hidden in one of the rooms of the house and the supposed prophet was conducted to provide information to DPCA.
Rehabilitation of children and adolescents Pereira's house was determined by the judge of the 1st Court of Childhood and Adolescence, Maria Luiza de Moura, who accepted the request of DPCA requesting protective measures for minors.
"We've identified all children and adolescents and the Guardian Council is forwarding them to the Children's Home," said Gonçalves Joattan.
The report attempted to contact the UOL's supposed prophet or some member of the group, but could not. Police are also investigating Luís Pereira da Silva is involved in other crimes reported by residents of Teresina.
