Dioceses de todo o Brasil começam a orientar fiéis eleitores para o voto consciente nas Eleições 2012 utilizando-se de cartilhas elaboradas de acordo com a realidade de cada região. À exemplo dos anos anteriores, organismos vinculados à Confederação Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB) já disponibilizou desde março deste ano, a cartilha “Eleições Municipais 2012: cidadania para a democracia”. A publicação foi elaborada numa parceria pelo Conselho Nacional do Laicato do Brasil (CNLB), Comissão Brasileira de Justiça e Paz (CBJP), Centro Nacional de Fé e Política “Dom Helder Câmara” (CEFEP) e Pastorais Sociais. A proposta é ajudar o eleitor a realizar uma boa reflexão em vista do voto consciente. “Colocar na urna não só o nosso voto pessoal, mas a consciência de que o nosso voto tem conseqüências para a vida do povo, para o futuro do país”, afirmam os organizadores na apresentação da cartilha. Fundamentado na metodologia ver-julgar-agir, o material traz uma análise sobre a crise do Estado, da Democracia, a responsabilidade de cada cidadão e os desafios para o cristão na política.
