O Jornal “Folha de S.Paulo” (Rio de Janeiro, 20ago06) informou que uma pesquisa realizada com cerca de 5 mil jovens em três municípios do Brasil (Rio, Salvador e Porto Alegre) aponta que 16,7% das adolescentes abortaram o primeiro filho, e 45,9% dos rapazes tiveram namoradas que interromperam a primeira gravidez.

A pesquisa mostrou ainda que 15,5% das moças desejaram provocar aborto ao engravidar do primeiro filho, e 11,12% tentaram realizá-lo sem sucesso. Já entre os rapazes, 20% informaram que desejavam que suas parceiras interrompessem a gravidez. A pesquisa foi feita pela pesquisadora Greice Menezes. Segundo a pesquisadora, quem mais faz abortos são as jovens de maior renda e escolaridade. A pesquisa apontou que as mulheres que tinham nível de escolaridade médio ou superior completo relataram três vezes mais o desfecho do aborto na primeira gravidez do que as jovens de baixa escolaridade.

Em relação à renda, as moças que vinham de famílias cuja renda per capita era superior a um salário mínimo relataram ter recorrido ao aborto quatro vezes mais do que as jovens que vieram de famílias com renda inferior a este piso salarial.

Este dado quebra o argumento de que o aborto é uma “solução social”. Meninas de maior renda podem se submeter ao procedimento em clínicas particulares e ter atendimento médico. Já as mais pobres, segundo a pesquisadora, fazem uso de medicamentos abortivos e chás.

A Igreja condena radicalmente o aborto em todos os casos! Não é licito matar a criança no ventre materno; nem os animais fazem isso, ao contrário, defendem suas crias com valentia. Nem mesmo em caso de estupro pode se justificar o aborto, pois o punido pelo crime deve ser o estuprador e não a criança inocente!

A Igreja ensina no Catecismo da Igreja Católica (CIC) que:

“A vida humana deve ser respeitada e protegida de maneira absoluta a partir do momento da concepção. Desde o primeiro momento de sua existência, o ser humano deve ver reconhecidos os seus direitos de pessoa, entre os quais o direito inviolável de todo ser inocente à vida.

Antes mesmo de te formares no ventre materno eu te conheci; antes que saísses do seio, eu te consagrei (Jr 1,5).

Meus ossos não foram escondidos quando eu era feito, em segredo, tecido na terra mais profunda (Sl 139,15).” (§2270)

Desde o primeiro século a Igreja afirmou a maldade moral de todo aborto provocado. Já dizia a (Didaché 2,2) no século I: "Não matarás o embrião por aborto e não farás perecer o recém-nascido." (Didaché 2,2)

O Concílio Vaticano II disse que: “O aborto e o infanticídio são crimes nefandos” (GS 51,3)

Também quem coopera com um aborto é igualmente culpado. Tanto a pessoa que pratica este crime como quem a ajuda são excomungados pela Igreja.

“A cooperação formal para um aborto constitui uma falta grave. A Igreja sanciona com uma pena canônica de excomunhão este delito contra a vida humana. “Quem provoca aborto, seguindo-se o efeito, incorre em excomunhão latae sententiae” (CDC, cân. 1398) “pelo próprio fato de cometer o delito” (CDC, cân. 1314) e nas condições previstas pelo Direito (CDC, cân 1323-1324). Com isso a Igreja não quer restringir o campo da misericórdia. Manifesta, sim, a gravidade do crime cometido, o prejuízo irreparável causado ao inocente morto, a seus pais e a toda sociedade.” (CIC §2272)

(A expressão latina latae sententiae significa “de sentença já promulgada” e indica que o transgressor incorre na excomunhão sem que a autoridade competente precise pronunciar-se.)

The newspaper "Folha de S. Paulo" (Rio de Janeiro, 20ago06) reported that a survey of around 5 thousand people in three cities of Brazil (Rio, Salvador and Porto Alegre) indicates that 16.7% of the teenage abortion first child, and 45.9% of boys had girlfriends who stopped first pregnancy.

The research also showed that 15.5% of girls wished to cause abortion when she got pregnant with her first child, and 11.12% have tried to do it without success. Among boys, 20% reported that their partners wanted to interrupt the pregnancy. The survey was conducted by the researcher Greice Menezes. According to the researcher, who else does abortions are young women with higher income and education. The poll found that women who had completed elementary or middle school graduates, reported three times the outcome of abortion in the first pregnancy than young women with low education.

Regarding income, the girls came from families whose per capita income was above the minimum wage reported having resorted to abortion four times more than the people who came from families with incomes below this minimum wage.

This figure breaks the argument that abortion is a "social solution." Girls with higher income can undergo the procedure in private clinics and take care. Already the poorest, according to the researcher, make use of abortifacient drugs and teas.

The Church condemns radical abortion in all cases! It is not permissible to kill the child in the womb, nor the animals do it, instead, defend their young with courage. Even in cases of rape can justify abortion, because the punishment for crime should be the rapist and not the innocent child!

The Church teaches in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) that:

"Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of its existence, the human being should see recognition of their rights of person, including the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.

Even before you in the womb I knew you, before you were the breast, I consecrated you (Jer 1:5).

My bones were not hidden when I was done in secret, tissue deeper in the earth (Psalm 139.15). "(§ 2270)

Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. I already told (Didache 2.2) in the first century: "Do not kill the embryo by abortion and you shall not destroy the newborn." (Didache 2.2)

The Second Vatican Council said: "Abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes" (GS 51.3)

Also who cooperates in an abortion is just as guilty. Both the person who commit the crime and how to help those who are excommunicated by the Church.

"Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church sanctions with a canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. "Whoever causes abortion, followed by effect, incurs excommunication latae sententiae" (CIC, can. 1398) "by the very fact of committing the offense" (CIC, can. 1314) and as provided by law (CIC, can 1323-1324). Thus the Church does not restrict the scope of mercy. Is yes, the severity of the crime committed, the irreparable harm caused to the innocent dead, their parents and the whole society. "(CCC § 2272)

(The Latin phrase latae sententiae means "sentence already enacted" and indicates that the offender incurs an excommunication without the authority needs to decide.)
